The interior design project draws inspiration from the layered urban identity of Neapolitan streets, aiming to translate the essence of the historic rione into an immersive spatial experience. The design narrative unfolds through materials and finishes that evoke the historical and social backdrop of Neapolitan street food, highlighting the connection between tactile authenticity and collective memory.
The asphalt-effect flooring, with its grainy and irregular texture, recalls the street surface, establishing visual and sensory continuity with the outdoors. The walls, featuring intentionally rough and weathered surfaces, replicate the aged patina of historic buildings, lending the space a distinct urban character. Porphyry-effect porcelain stoneware, utilized in key details, reflects traditional Neapolitan basalt paving slabs (basolati), creating a direct dialogue with the material fabric of the city while connecting with the street paving outside the San Salvario intersection where the pizzeria is located.
The lighting design enhances the materiality of the space, employing calibrated cuts of light and warm tones to emphasize the interplay between solid and void, smooth and textured surfaces. Carefully curated decorative and color accents complete the concept by channeling the vibrant energy and symbolic depth of Neapolitan folklore, delivering a venue that transcends ordinary dining to become a cultural experience rooted in the genius loci.

We believe that every scale deserves the same design attention.
